In addition to administering housing rehabilitation programs, RPC also manages Centennial House Senior Housing located in Saranac, New York. Centennial House has three apartments for income eligible seniors 62 years of age or older. The income limits for the residing residents will not exceed 50% of Area Median Income. The lower level unit is handicap accessible. Apartments are conveniently located, and include appliances, on site laundry, trash pick-up and off street parking. ELIGIBILITY – Age 62 or over. One handicap accessible apartment.
APARTMENTS – Three (3) One‑bedroom units.
RENTAL ASSISTANCE – May be available through Clinton County Housing Assistance.
RENT – $433 per month.
TYPE – One (1) building. One apartment and RPC office on first floor; Two apartments located upstairs (no elevator, chairlift is available).
UTILITY ALLOWANCE – Yes, and heat is INCLUDED.
UTILITIES – Electric ‑ individually metered for each apartment- Paid by resident.
WATER & SEPTIC – Paid by owner.
TELEPHONE – Pre‑wired in apartments
CABLE TV – Pre‑wired to apartments
HEATING – Apartment ‑ Baseboard with thermostats (propane boiler in the basement)
WATER – heated by the boiler that provides heat-no charge to tenants.
