Rural Preservation Company (RPC) of Clinton County is constantly in need of eligible Contractors who are interested in working on publicly-funded projects in Clinton County. RPC regularly applies for housing rehabilitation grants throughout the Town of Saranac and Clinton County to provide fair housing assistance to those in need.

Minority and Women Owned Businesses(M/WBE), and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses(SDVOB) are highly encouraged to participate, as well as Section 3 contractors as defined by US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). All participating contractors are encouraged to hire low income trainees for these projects.

Housing Rehabilitation work often includes, but is not limited to:

-Roofing -Foundation Work -Kitchen and Bathrooms

-Electrical -Replacement Windows/Doors -Siding

-Plumbing -Interior Finish Work -Accessible Ramps/Fixtures

*Projects that entail lead-based paint hazard reduction are bid to contractors that are certified for such work*

To become listed on the eligible contractor roster, you must complete the following:

  • Fill out a Contractor Application(found below)

  • Sign Affirmative Action Agreement

  • Provide 3 references

  • Provide proof of at least $500,000 in commercial general liability insurance coverage

  • Must carry Worker’s Compensation and NYS Disability for all employees

  • Provide proof of EPA Lead Certification
